Announcing 3rd Annual Indigenous Hemp Conference with Winona LaDuke
Early registration until February 1st, 2020
Dear Friends,
I’m so pleased to invite you to the third Indigenous Hemp Conference on the White Earth reservation hosted by the Anishinaabe Agriculture Institute and Winona’s Hemp. The conference – March 4, will offer an opportunity to collaborate , learn together and makes plans to grow our future.
It’s on the front side of our Indigenous Farming Conference, and so many of you may wish to continue the conversation there, at least we hope so.
It’s time to make the next economy. The fossil fuel era must come to an end, and a graceful and healing transition can come with a cannabis economy. That’s what we know. Across the world cannabis, the foundational plant for everything from canvas to construction materials, is making a comeback. It’s just in time, cannabis can sequester carbon, and help us protect our future generations .
Join us, this year, for a cutting edge conference on tribal cannabis futures, focusing this conference on what’s known as industrial hemp we will explore the growing, processing, and path ahead for cannabis as a central part of the transition to the next economy.
We will also discuss the need and opportunity for tribal collaboration in the face of conflicting policies and economic forces in a complex time. This conference has both agricultural , processing and policy elements. It’s time to work together.
We offer an opportunity to present, updates from tribal hemp and cannabis growers, and what we are learning together. We know that the next economy is not about competition, it’s about cooperation. We will grow it together.
Please contact us at info@winonashemp.com if you have a presentation you’re interested in offering.
It’s said that 90 years ago, there was a choice between a hydrocarbon economy and a carbohydrate economy. The choice was between oil and cannabis. Oil won, and we made the wrong choice.
We’ve a chance to make things right.
